Can I Use Donated Funds to Record My Music?

Yes, you can, and those funds can be tax-deductible donations too!

By Stan Moser, Founder CCM United

During my more than 50 years in the Christian Music business, I’ve had the privilege of helping make more than 20,000 songs available for consumers just like you. I have been truly blessed to help launch more artists than I can remember, but a few do stand out. That list includes Amy Grant, Newsboys, PC&D, Petra, and even Andrae Crouch!

Music certainly has changed during my career, and so has the delivery mechanism. When I started my career, we sold singles, LPs, and 8 track tapes. Yep, 8 tracks! Of course, we soon learned how to bring cassettes, CDs, and countless streams to your ears along the way.

We made a lot of music in those days, and it took a lot of cash to make those recordings. The good news is that with the digital technologies in place today, you can record your own songs—make your own audio and video recordings—for a fraction of the cost of just a decade or so ago. The other goods news is that now you can raise tax-deductible funds from your friends, family members, and fans to make your recordings come to life.

A few years ago, we launched a new company called CCM United as the foundation for recording new versions of many of the greatest CCM songs over the years. Now, we’re using that “brand” to let artists, songwriters, and worship leaders (maybe like you!) know just how easy it is to receive tax-deductible donations to help make their music possible.

You can find all the details for doing just that at our new website www.CCMUnited.com. If you are ready to make some music and you’re looking for a unique way to pay the recording costs, take a look. I promise you’ll be amazed at just how simple that process can be.

CCM United—We Make Music Possible! Maybe we can help you make your music possible too.
